Are you up for the challenge? Submit your BQA certificate for a chance to support your state or regional Angus association.
Angus members affiliated with state or regional Angus associations can obtain their Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) or equivalent certification, or renew an expired certification, between March 1 and June 30 for a chance to win up to $2,000 for their association.
Already certified? That’s great! You can enter the challenge as long as it’s still current.
How to Win
Up to three state or regional Angus associations will receive money from Certified Angus Beef for its members being certified in an animal welfare/cattle care program. An association must have at least 30% of its members submit a certificate to be eligible.
Tier 1:
1-150 members: $1,000Tier 2:
151-400 members: $1,500Tier 3:
401+ members: $2,000
Challenge Rules

Rule 1
Submit a current BQA or equivalent certificate. (A list of accepted certificates is listed below.) -
Rule 2
Each person is only counted as one entry, regardless of being certified in more than one accepted program. -
Rule 3
Multiple family members or employees from one operation may enter. -
Rule 4
If you have already submitted your BQA certificate to Certified Angus Beef, you can re-submit to enter your state or regional Angus association. -
Rule 5
Entries must be submitted between March 1, 12:00 a.m., and June 30, 11:59 p.m.
Certificates accepted include, but may not be limited to:
- Beef Quality Assurance
- Beef Quality Assurance Transportation
- Calf Care Quality Assurance
- USDA Recognized Programs (Certified Humane, Global Animal Partnership Certified)
- Verified Beef Production Plus (Canada)
- Dairy FARM
- Various Third-party Audit Programs (Validus, PAACO, IMI Global, Tyson FarmCheck)

Obtain or Renew Your BQA
Not BQA certified? No worries. There is still time to obtain or renew your BQA certificate. Remember, BQA certificates must be renewed every three years. So even if you were certified in the past, make sure it was within three years of the challenge deadline.
Get certified online or find a training near you at BQA.org. Find an upcoming, in-person BQA training that's co-sponsored by Certified Angus Beef.
